The Brick price guarantee: read this before you buy
For a store that sells sofas, mattresses and fridges, the most useful thing in the flyer is not the front page, it is the fine print on the Lowest Price Guarantee. The Brick's guarantee page says that for the same brand and model with identical terms, a lower advertised price found within 30 days of delivery or pickup will be refunded to you. Appliances get an extra 20 per cent of the difference under a "Plus 20" label, and mattresses have a longer 90-day window with an extra 10 per cent ("Plus 10"), and mattress matches cover same-brand products with the same key features rather than the exact same model. You must bring proof of the lower price and let the store verify it, and you should keep your invoice. Refunds go back to the original form of payment, and cash buyers are refunded to a debit card or by cheque.
The exclusions matter just as much: as-is, limited-quantity and limited-time offers, discontinued or exclusive items, rewards or points programs, builder, group, club or membership pricing, pricing errors, auction and aggregator sites, and warranty claims. This answers the most-searched question, "does the brick price match", with a firm yes, but with conditions.
Weekly flyer dates and what the Brick publishes
The edition on AdsSOS today is a nineteen-page flyer valid from Friday 9 October 2026, with our listing showing it until 21 October. A four-page Brick Mattress Store booklet follows the same dates. Because edition dates shift from one catalogue to the next, treat the dates printed on the front of each edition as the schedule to follow. The Brick's own flyer page is bilingual, with a French link to the Brick en ligne site, but when we loaded it the flyer did not render, so we rely on the listing dates. People look for "the brick tent sale flyer" and "the brick mattress sale flyer", and those are separate promotions that come and go; read the dates. See the scans on The Brick flyer this week.
Financing, delivery and returns
The home page advertises financing through Flexiti, including a banner about taking 55 months to pay with 0 per cent interest on furniture and mattresses, and free local delivery with a mattress bought on a FlexitiCard. The terms are not spelled out there, so read the conditions on the application. The price guarantee page also says that Flexiti Card customers enrolled in Simply Secure get a longer matching window; it lists 100 and 180 days without saying which applies when, so ask. In-store pickup is also listed.
Return, exchange and price-adjustment terms are set by the retailer and by local consumer law, and can differ between stores and between online and in-store purchases. Read the conditions at the till or on the receipt, and keep proof of purchase. A mattress retailer's blog claims delivered mattresses are generally non-returnable unless they are defective; treat that as a rumour and ask in writing before ordering a bed.
Hours: Sundays, Canada Day and the rest
"the brick hours sunday" and "the brick hours canada day" show up in the suggestions. Hours depend on the location, and the website points to its store locator. Provincial holiday rules apply too. Ontario's retail business holidays list covers seven days when many retailers must close, from New Year's Day to Christmas, with exemptions for the City of Toronto and municipalities that pass their own by-laws, so look at the locator for the store you plan to visit before a long weekend.
Who is behind The Brick
According to Wikipedia, John, Fred and Bill Comrie founded the company in 1971, opening the first warehouse in Edmonton on 1 September that year. In November 2012 it announced that rival Leon's would acquire it for $700 million, and Leon's kept the two chains separate. The article gives both 235 and 220 as store counts without reconciling them, so we leave the figure out, and says stores in Quebec carry the plain "Brick" name. Besides furniture it sells mattresses, appliances and home electronics, and the article lists distribution centres from Calgary and Edmonton to Montreal and Dartmouth.
We list it in our home and garden retailers group. For comparison, open the Leon's flyer this week, the IKEA flyer this week or the Home Depot weekly flyer, or go back to the Canada flyers hub.
