Reading Kuwait's weekly offers
In Kuwait the word you will see on a catalogue is usually offers, in English and in Arabic, and the search habit follows it: shoppers type a store name, Kuwait, and then offers today. AdsSOS collects those weekly offers from retailers and keeps one page per store. We do not carry product pages or prices; the purpose is to help you find the right catalogue and to understand who published it.
The co-operative backdrop
Any account of Kuwaiti grocery has to begin with the co-operative societies, the jam'iya in each neighbourhood. A co-operative news report counts over 60 consumer co-operatives that hold a large share of the grocery market, and it describes a dispute over government plans, announced in September 2023, to privatise them. The retailers on our pages are mostly private companies, which means they sit beside the co-ops and not in place of them. We do not scan co-operative flyers on this site, so a complete price comparison for groceries still includes your local society.
The big names, grouped by what they are
Hypermarkets come first for most people. Lulu hypermarket opened its fifteenth Kuwait hypermarket in Hawally in October 2023, and Grand Hypermarket reached Kuwait in 2010. Mango Hyper gives ten branches on its own site and Nesto hypermarkets come from a Sharjah-based group with a Kuwait app. City Centre became City Hypermarket in February 2024 with twelve stores, according to the Kuwait Times, while Mark & Save belongs to the Western International Group. The Sultan Center is a supermarket group that Wikipedia credits with more than forty stores in Kuwait.
Electronics has its own cluster. X-Cite electronics is run by Alghanim Industries, and Eureka Electronics says it has six megastores. Best Al-Yousifi Electronics was reported with twenty-two outlets in September 2026, Jarir Bookstore has three stores in Kuwait, and Al Andalus Trading Co. dates from 1963. Finally Al Nasser is our sports and outdoors entry, with fifty stores according to its own site.
The two category hubs
We group the stores into two hubs. The hypermarkets hub explains how Lulu, Grand, Mango, Nesto and the supermarket groups differ, and it is honest that some of its members are supermarkets by format. The electronics hub covers the five appliance and phone sellers and the financing language that comes with them. A shopper who needs both a weekly food shop and a new appliance can open them in sequence.
How the weekly rhythm works
The only catalogue we opened directly for this overview was the Mango Hyper site, whose Offers section on 22 October 2026 listed an eight-page promotion dated 21 to 27 October. That is one retailer, and we do not generalise the weekday or length to the rest. What holds everywhere is that each scan on our store pages carries the retailer's own dates, so start there. For a given week you can look at your nearest hypermarket and then one competitor, instead of paging through twelve catalogues.
Calendar, holidays and Ramadan
Shopping hours change around Ramadan, and in Kuwait the public sector announces its own reduced schedule each year. We looked for an official notice on retail hours for the 2026 month and did not find one, so we will not quote times for shops. Shoppers do search for round-the-clock opening: the City Centre branch at Aswaq Al Qurain was reported open twenty-four hours in February 2026, and queries about Lulu twenty-four hours are common. Always confirm with the branch before a late trip.
Your rights as a buyer
Kuwait's Law 39 of 2014 allows a defective product to be exchanged or returned within fourteen days when you hold the merchant's invoice. Perishables are excluded, vendors and suppliers are jointly liable, and a disagreement can be taken to the National Committee for Consumer Protection, according to the Kuwait Times. Store policies can be stricter or looser on top of this. Grand Hypermarket publishes seven calendar days for unused goods, and Jarir lists fourteen days with exclusions for electronics, so read the policy of the shop you use.
What a catalogue does not tell you
A flyer is a retailer's statement of what it is offering, not a market price list, and ours is a mirror of it. Loyalty programmes in Kuwait are a good example: some chains name them without publishing the benefits, and bank-card partnerships come and go. When we could not confirm a term from the retailer's own page we left it out of the pages we write.
