According to Wikipedia, Jamil Sultan opened a self-service store in Shuwaikh in the early 1980s and the company moved into food retail with a Salmiya store in 1986. Kanzee, NBK points and other ways to stack savings

Sultan's loyalty scheme is called Kanzee. The iOS listing for the Sultan grocery app describes it as a cashback programme where members track rewards, receive member offers and redeem them on later orders, and reviewers mention tiers named Explorer and Elite. Store opening hours, holiday schedules, and loyalty participation can vary by specific branch location and municipal regulations. Before you plan a trip, read the signage on the door or the posting at the branch itself.

A card partnership is better documented. The Kuwait Times reported on 3 September 2023 that spending at least KD 20 at Sultan with an NBK credit or prepaid card earned 5 percent in NBK Rewards points at Sultan Express and Sultan Concept stores in Al-Adailiya, Salwa, Jabriya, Al-Kout Mall, Souq Sharq and Salmiya; Kanzee members got extra coins by tier. That was a 2023 announcement, so ask at the till whether it is still running before counting on it. Leaflet prices and card rewards are separate things: the leaflet sets the shelf price, the card adds points afterwards.

Sultan Center online shopping and app

For the national frame, a business guide describes Friday as the day of rest, lists 25 and 26 February as public holidays and says a holiday landing on a Friday moves to the next working day. Eid and Ramadan usually shift schedules, and neighbourhood branches may keep different hours from the Al Kout Mall store, so check the branch you plan to visit.

Returns and consumer protection

No Sultan return policy was reachable this session. Kuwaiti law applies regardless: Consumer Protection Law No. 39 of 2014 allows an exchange or refund for a defective product within 14 days, excluding perishables, as long as the merchant provided an invoice. Disputes about returns can be taken to the National Committee for Consumer Protection. Keep receipts, especially for items from the home-essentials weeks.
