MyThyme Rewards Points: the biggest Fresh Thyme change this year

Let's start with what's new. On April 27, 2026, Fresh Thyme Market launched MyThyme Rewards Points, and it's the reason a lot of people are now searching fresh thyme rewards. Members earn 10 points for every dollar spent, with no cap. Current members were enrolled automatically. You redeem inside the Fresh Thyme app, where 5,000 points equal a $5 coupon, in $5, $10, $15 or $20 steps, and the Shelby Report says points can be combined with weekly promotions and digital coupons. Points last 12 months. Beer, wine, liquor, gift cards, taxes, bottle deposits and THC/CBD products don't earn.

New customers got a sign-up bonus at launch: 10,000 points, worth $10, after joining and spending $50. Check the app to see whether that offer is still live. The points sit on top of the older MyThyme Loyalty Program, which the company's release says already includes digital coupons, birthday rewards, member events and Fresh Thyme Pickup curbside service.

Fresh Thyme weekly ad: what we hold right now

The Fresh Thyme Weekly Ad on AdsSOS covers October 21 to October 27, 2026, and it's a small 6-page piece. We also have a Monthly Ad for the whole of October 2026, 11 pages. Our data shows no repeat start day for this chain, though the current edition's title says it begins on a Wednesday. Have a look at the Fresh Thyme weekly ad this week page for the latest scan.

Short ads suit a short aisle, and a quick read beats a thick insert on a busy weeknight, so treat the monthly sheet as your planning tool. This is a smaller-footprint grocer, so six pages go a long way. Compare it with a conventional store's circular, such as the Meijer weekly ad this week, if you're deciding where to buy staples versus specialty items.

What Fresh Thyme is and where it came from

Chris Sherrell opened the first store in April 2014 in Mount Prospect, Illinois, under the name Fresh Thyme Farmers Market. The company is based in Downers Grove, Illinois, and sells itself as a better-for-you grocer. It grew fast, from nine stores at the end of 2014 to 77 stores in 11 states when Sherrell left in November 2019. In August 2020 it dropped Farmers from its name. After leaving Nebraska that September it was down to 70 stores in 10 Midwestern states, and Wikipedia gives 70 stores again in January 2024.

Closures have been part of the story too: the original Mount Prospect store closed in August 2023, and an underperforming Mishawaka, Indiana store closed in September 2024. We mention it because searches such as is fresh thyme going out of business show up. We saw no source saying the chain is closing as a whole, and the April 2026 rewards launch points the other way.

Who owns Fresh Thyme? It isn't a Meijer store

The suggestion fresh thyme is owned by meijer is common. Wikipedia says Meijer is reported to be an investor and that former Meijer executives have served on the board, and it notes no other corporate connection. In 2021 Fresh Thyme began offering a broad range of Meijer-branded items. That's a supply and investor link, not a merger, so you'll still see a separate Fresh Thyme banner.

Fresh Thyme hours, price match and returns

The suggestions include fresh thyme hours sunday, fresh thyme hours labor day and what time does fresh thyme close. We don't have an official hours page for the chain, and hours depend on your store, so use the store finder. Return, exchange and price-adjustment terms are set by the retailer and by local consumer law, and can differ between stores and between online and in-store purchases. Ask the branch for the current terms and hold on to your receipt. The same applies to fresh thyme return policy, including the questions about opened supplements and unopened groceries.
