Three ads, three different kinds of electronics store

Only three chains in this hub publish a weekly ad we scan, and they don't overlap much. Best Buy's weekly ad is the national big-box one. ABC Warehouse's weekly ad comes from a regional seller with a delivery area. GameStop's weekly ad is about games, consoles and trade-ins. Electronics ads matter less for the sale itself than for the rules around it. A TV or a phone is a purchase you might return or want adjusted a week later, so this page spends its time on policies we actually read on the retailers' own pages.

Best Buy: price match, request and limits

Searches like "best buy sales ad" and "best buy black friday ad release date" show what people want from the ad. The company publishes when it publishes, and we don't guess dates. What Best Buy's Price Match Guarantee page does say is practical. A match applies to an identical product that is immediately available at a qualified competitor. You can ask when you buy, or during the return and exchange period.

The way you ask depends on where you bought. For BestBuy.com orders, requests go through online chat or phone, and they cannot be completed in stores or by email. In a store, you talk to a Customer Specialist or go to the Customer Service desk. Store pickup and smartphone orders count as BestBuy.com purchases for this purpose. Best way to prove the lower price, per the page: the competitor's current ad or its website address.

Read the exclusions. Best Buy does not match Marketplace Product prices, competitors' service prices (delivery, installation, computer services), financing offers, trade-in values or coupons. A coupon and a price match can't be combined on the same product. Shipping charges are left out of the comparison, and the match is on the pre-tax price. The qualified competitor list is long: Abt, Amazon, Apple, B&H Photo Video, BJ's Wholesale Club, BrandsMart USA, Costco, Crutchfield, Dick's Sporting Goods, Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, Microcenter, Nebraska Furniture Mart, P.C. Best Buy: returns and restocking fees

The return window starts the day you receive a shipped product. Most products get 15 days for everyone and 60 days for My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total members, excluding Marketplace Products. Activatable devices, meaning cell phones, cellular tablets, mobile hotspots and cellular wearables, get 14 days for everybody, and Verizon devices get 30 days for all customers. Holiday decoration categories have their own 15-day window.

Restocking fees apply to some items: activatable devices, and categories such as drones, digital cameras, lenses, camcorders and projectors. There is no restocking fee if the product is unopened, or if the purchase occurs in Alabama, Colorado, Hawaii, Iowa, Mississippi, Ohio, Oklahoma or South Carolina. Some things can't come back at all once bought, like custom orders, final-sale items and non-subscription digital gaming content. Loyalty here means those paid memberships, and store hours vary by location.

ABC Warehouse: a local delivery map

ABC Warehouse's delivery page says free home delivery is available within its service area in Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, via mail-in rebate. Outside that area, the page sends shoppers to a sister company, us-appliance.com, for nationwide delivery options. The same page explains store pickup: wait for the pickup notification email, which the company says arrives within 30 minutes on average, and which confirms the product is in stock. If you order after store hours, that email waits until the next business day. The site also links to financing and rebate pages, so check those terms in full before you rely on a promotion. People searching "abc warehouse weekly flyer" or "abc warehouse sale ad" are usually looking at one of these regional offers.

GameStop: Pro, points and what changed

GameStop's weekly ad covers consoles, accessories, trade-ins and collectibles. Its Pro membership is the loyalty piece, and it has been changing. According to a Rivo breakdown, GameStop began phasing out standard points earning on July 15, 2026. Pro memberships bought or renewed on or after that date no longer earn points through the membership, members whose term began earlier can keep earning until renewal, and Pro Credit Card holders have a separate points benefit.

Two official facts matter if you hold points. GameStop's help page says Pro points expire one year after they are earned, and all points expire immediately if your membership ends. The Pro terms add that points have no cash value and can't be transferred, and membership is open to US residents aged 13 or older, with one account per person. We found no official price-match policy for GameStop, so ask before assuming one. GameStop Corp. is based in Grapevine, Texas.
