Zehrs Flyer This Week

Zehrs flyer this week: Kitchener-born, read across southwestern Ontario

If you grew up around Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph or Windsor, "the Zehrs flyer" probably needs no introduction. Our current edition runs October 22 to October 28, 2026 and has 17 pages; the one before it, October 15 to 21, had 19. Both start on a Thursday, matching the day that a Loblaw shopping guide says Loblaw flyers are usually published. That guide speaks for the group generally, so we only use it as a hint for Zehrs.

Shoppers search by town: "zehrs flyer kitchener", "zehrs flyer guelph", "zehrs flyer barrie", "zehrs flyer brantford", "zehrs flyer windsor" and "zehrs flyer st catharines". Smartcanucks also turns up in suggestions, which shows how many people hunt for flyers on third-party sites, as you may well be doing now.

Zehrs Markets: where it comes from and where the stores are

Wikipedia dates the chain to 1950, when Emory Zehr and his sons opened a food store in Kitchener. CTV Kitchener's 2018 obituary of co-founder Lester Zehr, who died at 91, describes him as the epitome of a local entrepreneur and says he opened the first Zehrs with his brother and their father. Loblaw bought the chain in the mid-1970s according to Wikipedia.

The page counts 42 locations in 2024, all in Ontario, from Kingsville in the south to Orillia in the north and from Windsor to Niagara Falls. Hamilton, Toronto and London-St. Thomas have none, which explains why Zehrs flyers do not show up for those cities. Over time the banner has been called Zehrs Markets, Zehrs Food Plus and Zehrs Greatfood. Some stores have since become Real Canadian Superstores, and Gordons stores in far southwestern Ontario were renamed Zehrs in the 1990s.

What is inside a Zehrs store

Wikipedia lists bakery, Fresh2Go ready meals, optical, wine, PC Financial kiosks, clothing and electronics, with pharmacies or walk-in clinics at some locations. Store-brand shelves carry President's Choice products. That is why "zehrs return policy joe fresh" and "does zehrs do custom cakes" appear in real queries: the store covers more than groceries.

PC Optimum at Zehrs: points, offers and coupons

Zehrs is named in Loblaw's release for the February 1, 2018 launch of PC Optimum, which merged the earlier PC Plus and Shoppers Optimum programmes. The release says members can redeem once they reach 10,000 points and receive weekly personalized offers as well as in-store offers. A Milesopedia guide to Loblaw banners adds that flyers often show a regular price and a lower member price, which you get by scanning the card at checkout, and that the Offers tab in the app tends to refresh with the new flyer. Points, digital coupons and delivery services may be offered in some places and not in others. The customer-service desk at your branch can tell you what is available locally.

Does Zehrs price match? A short, honest answer

This is one of the top searches, and the variations are telling: "does zehrs price match walmart", "does zehrs price match no frills" and "does zehrs price match superstore". How a return, refund or price-adjustment request is handled depends on the retailer's policy and on local consumer rules. Photograph the receipt and check the conditions before you leave the store. Loblaw's discount banners publish their own, but they are a separate matter. A No Frills policy page, for example, says it matches identical items, during the competitor's ad dates or within 7 days of a receipt. Don't assume Zehrs works the same way; confirm at the customer service desk.

Returns questions are also frequent: "zehrs return policy without receipt", "zehrs food return policy" and "zehrs clothing return policy".

Zehrs hours, holidays and Civic Holiday

Holiday searches stand out: "is zehrs open on civic holiday", "is zehrs open on labour day", "is zehrs open july 1". Ontario's official list has nine public holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Labour Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Boxing Day. Civic Holiday is not on it. The government page does not say stores must close on those days, only that certain retail workers can refuse to work them. Hours therefore come from the store itself. Other common queries are "when does zehrs pharmacy close" and "when does zehrs hot food close"; the Zehrs store page lists the individual departments.

Compare Zehrs with other Ontario grocers

Zehrs sits alongside other Loblaw names, and our pages for the No Frills weekly flyer and Real Canadian Superstore flyer this week let you compare the same week. The Walmart flyer this week and FreshCo weekly flyer show two competitors. For everything in one place, use the Canadian supermarkets flyer hub or the Canada flyer hub.
