The investor release says that from 1 June 2025 the website offers asap! delivery without the app, with orders picked from 600 locations instead of 47 stores and a delivery fee of R35. The app has a basket limit of 45 items and access to over 35,000 products. Other reports say Pick n Pay also planned FNB eBucks functionality in 2026. Pick n Pay trading hours, Sundays and public holidays

The first hypermarket opened in 1975 and the first franchise in 1993. The group is headquartered in Kenilworth, Cape Town, is listed on the JSE, and acquired Boxer Superstores in 2002. Its 2025 snapshot lists 2,269 stores in seven African countries, of which 1,498 are company-owned and 697 franchised. Formats include 21 hypermarkets, 415 clothing stores, 678 liquor stores across Pick n Pay and Boxer, and 188 Express stores at BP stations. The same entry says Pick n Pay exited Namibia in July 2025 and reported closing 56 South African stores in May 2026, so a branch you remember may be gone. It also mentions a new CEO-designate announced in September 2026.
