The Foodland app listing adds the practical bit: log in to your membership, check your points balance, see this week's Maika'i rewards and scan the digital card at checkout. Search results suggest that some ad prices are flagged for card members, so scan before you pay rather than after.

$6 Eats and Shaka Deals

If you're in the "what's for lunch" camp, the $6 Eats page lists grab-and-go meals at six dollars all day on Fridays, billed as Aloha Fridays: a kalua pork bowl, mini bento and plates, select deli sandwiches and California rolls. The site tells shoppers to check back each Monday for upcoming Friday deals. On the homepage, we saw a one-day Monday meat special named Maika'i Marinated Meats Monday, valid for that Monday only. Those promos change, so treat them as examples of the format rather than a standing menu.

About Foodland: local, family-owned, four islands

Foodland describes itself, in a 2023 anniversary report, as Hawaii's largest locally owned grocery retailer. Its first store opened May 6, 1948 at Market City Shopping Center in Honolulu. Maurice "Sully" Sullivan was the founder; his daughter Jenai Wall is chairman and CEO. That report counted 31 stores and over 3,400 employees across Foodland, Foodland Farms and Sack N Save on four islands. Foodland hours, poke and holiday questions
