Metro Offers This Week

Metro supermarket Cyprus offers: what the fortnight leaflet covers

The Metro brochure on AdsSOS is short and quick: five pages, valid from Thursday 15 October to Wednesday 28 October 2026. Fourteen days is the window, so it is closer to a fortnightly rhythm than a weekly one, though a single edition is not enough to promise that. On the retailer's own Greek-language site the deals are organised under Offers, with named series such as METRO Great Value and a three-day offer called 3day METRO, which is useful if you wonder why some prices seem to expire sooner than the printed leaflet. Our scan lives at Metro supermarket Cyprus offers this week.

One housekeeping point: this is METRO Foods Trading, the Cypriot supermarket group. It is not the German wholesaler Metro AG or the Greek retailer Metro S.A., and Wikipedia carries a note warning readers against the mix-up.

METROcard and the rewards page

The official site has a Rewards section built around the METROcard, with the slogan about collecting and benefiting. The homepage featured a promotion with Italian-designed Alessi items tied to that scheme. What a loyalty card or app offers can change from one region or branch to the next. Ask at the branch which programmes and services run there. Register through the official page and read the terms there.

Metro opening hours and Sunday trading

The most typed phrases are "metro cyprus opening hours" and, for the new store, "metro supermarket limassol opening hours". Store opening hours, holiday schedules, and loyalty participation can vary by specific branch location and municipal regulations. Local branch postings and shop-front signage give the schedule that actually applies to you. Rather than invent a timetable, here are the stable pieces of information. Each store has its own telephone number on the contact footer, which is the dependable way to ask about hours on a Sunday or around a holiday.

The general rules help you plan. The Cyprus tourism board says shops usually open about 07:00 to 21:00 on weekdays, with an optional break in the afternoon from mid-June to the end of August, and Sunday hours that start later. Shops must close by 18:00 on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and Good Friday. The Labour Minister said in November 2023 that shops have long been allowed to open on Sundays and that no change was planned.

Metro supermarket Larnaca, Paralimni and the other stores

A short history: the company says it opened its first store in Larnaca in October 1982, and Wikipedia describes that first unit as a hypermarket. Today the official philosophy page lists seven supermarkets in Strovolos, Platy, Aglantzia, Larnaca, Moutagiaka, Paralimni and Agias Filaxeos, and says about 650 people work there. So "metro supermarket paralimni cyprus" and "metro supermarket larnaca cyprus" both match real branches.

The newest is the Agias Filaxeos hypermarket in Limassol. A company news item dated 20 November 2025 calls it the second METRO hypermarket in the city and the seventh in Cyprus. It has two separate entrances, one on Agias Fylaxeos Street and one on Akanthou Street, fresh-food counters, a kitchen that prepares meals daily, panoramic lifts, self-checkout tills, a large car park and a Mikel café. That detail matters if you were deciding whether to shop in Limassol on a first visit: parking and self-checkout are stated.

Online shopping and delivery apps

The site header has an Order online button, and the FAQ points to Wolt and Bolt Food as ordering options.

Metro exchange policy

The FAQ says goods can be exchanged within 15 days of purchase if you bring the receipt, and the item must be in its original packaging, in perfect condition, sealed and unused. Groceries, baby food, tobacco, underwear and beachwear are excluded. The wording is about exchange, not refund, so ask at customer service if you want money back for a faulty non-food product.

Compare Metro with other supermarket leaflets

Because the window is a fortnight, you can compare it with narrower ones. The Lidl offers this week page and the Sklabenites brochure offers sit beside it, and the Plus Discount Market brochure shows another budget format. For the full list of grocers, see Cyprus supermarket brochures, or head to the Cyprus weekly offers and brochures hub.

If Metro is on your list this week, read the current edition first. Make a short list from the pages you care about and compare it with what you already have at home. Advertised items may sell out or be limited to certain branches; ask the store when in doubt.
