Asda weekly offers: a five-page scan, 20 to 26 October

The Asda edition on our books at the moment is a five-page weekly offers leaflet that began on Tuesday 20 October 2026 and runs to Monday 26 October. Because edition dates shift from one catalogue to the next, treat the dates printed on the front of each edition as the schedule to follow. Five pages is lean next to the thick monthly booklets some rivals print, which tells you something: Asda sells much of its week through in-store signs, the app and its Rollback labels, not through a long paper catalogue.

Rollback, price matching and the changes that dated old advice

This is the part where a lot of web pages are out of date. According to Wikipedia, the Aldi and Lidl Price Match campaign ran from January 2024 until it was discontinued in January 2025, when the Rollback campaign came back. Grocery trade coverage in search results says Rollback returned in January 2025 across more than 4,000 products with an average cut of around a quarter, and a later report suggested items stayed at Rollback prices for shorter periods than the adverts implied. So a search such as "asda offers this week alcohol 25 off" or "asda offers this week food" should be read with the shelf label in hand, and not by memory of last year's price match.

Asda Rewards: how the cashpot works

"Does Asda have a loyalty card?" is a real question people ask Google. Asda Rewards launched in August 2022, and Wikipedia reports about six million users by April 2024. It is app based, so there is no plastic card. Money Saving articles from the launch period explain that you build a cashpot called Asda Pounds, partly from percentages on selected star products and partly through in-app missions, then convert the balance into money-off vouchers for use in store or online. Wikipedia adds that the 10 per cent return on Star Products was removed in February 2025, which shows how much the scheme has shifted since launch. Look inside the app for today's rules.

Asda return policy: George, groceries and electricals

Return queries are among the biggest in the suggestions: "asda return policy clothes", "asda return policy without receipt" and "asda return policy electronics". The official help pages did not open for us, so there are no confirmed windows to quote. What press coverage has said is that George clothing carried a 100-day returns promise in older reports, and one personal-finance site gave a 30-day general window. Those sources conflict with each other and are dated, so confirm on asda.com or at a customer service desk before you pay for postage.

Opening times, Sunday and bank holidays at Asda

Expect the usual cluster of searches: "asda opening hours sunday", "asda is open on boxing day", "asda christmas opening times 2026" and "is asda open easter sunday". The branch-by-branch hours live on the store pages. Trading hours, public-holiday closures and seasonal schedules differ branch by branch and follow local regulation. Shoppers are advised to check in-store signage or local branch postings for location-specific schedules. Hours shift for Christmas, so check the day before. Shoppers also ask about pharmacy closing times, which are a branch matter.

Who owns Asda, and what is in the trolley

Asda's roots go to 1949 and Associated Dairies in Knottingley, West Yorkshire, with the Asda name arriving in 1965 after a merger with the Asquith family's shops. It is headquartered in Leeds. Walmart bought it in 1999 and sold it to the Issa brothers and TDR Capital in February 2021. Wikipedia currently lists TDR on 67.5 per cent and Mohsin Issa on 22.5 per cent, with Walmart retaining a minority investment. The chain has about 1,106 locations as of 2025, including Superstores, Supercentres, Supermarkets, Asda Express convenience sites and petrol stations, and it held an 11.4 per cent share of British grocery sales in December 2025. George clothing dates to around 1989 and the no-frills Just Essentials range launched in 2022. A planned 2019 merger with Sainsbury's was blocked by the Competition and Markets Authority.
